Department offers numerous activities to assist in the redevelopment of Mt. Pleasant's commercial corridors.
City of Cleveland Storefront Rebate/Loan Program - This program is a City funded program offered through Mt. Pleasant NOW. This program offers financial support and design assistance to building
owners who are interested in fixing up the outside of their retail commercial property. Owners must be willing to make comprehensive improvements to their property to get

Technical Support for Local Business Owners - Mt. Pleasant NOW is able to offer technical support to help local merchants gain the most from their businesses and assist those
looking to expand or relocate into the Mt. Pleasant community. Through various services, Mt. Pleasant NOW staff can help merchants locate government programs, financial assistance, demographic data and other resources that will be useful to all development activities.
Business Revitalization District - As part of the City of Cleveland's Zoning Code Ordinance, Mt. Pleasant NOW has adopted a Business Revitalization District, a design overlay district which runs along Kinsman Road from E. 137th
Street to E. 154th Street. This new ordinance requires all commercial new construction and exterior property alterations to be subject to a "design review" prior to the issuance of a Building Permit. This District will provide
a design "standard" for future developments within Mt. Pleasant that will not only enhance the architectural identity of the community, but will also help to preserve property values.
Kinsman Road Revitalization Strategy - Mt. Pleasant NOW is in the process of conducting both a Market Study and a Physical Development Plan for Kinsman Road. The purpose of these studies is to identify the highest and best use for our commercial corridor, and
